JOAN BARDELETTI - PORTRAIT2 BD

Joan Bardeletti is a french photographer based in Paris. He is represented by Picturetank agency since 2006.

He received a World Press Photo in 2010, a Getty Grant award in 2011 for an on-going project on Gays in Africa, he received a Bourse du Talent award for Reportage in 2012 for his photo essay Black Snow. The Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF) presented an exhibition of his work during 2 months in 2011 and then in 2013 and bought some of his images for its iconographic found.

He is the author of the book « Petite Prospérité » (Small wealth) on African Middle Classes published by Images en manœuvre in 2011,  and he lately published a book « I am not cheese boy » on the photo essay he produced on food in South Africa.

He cofonded Collateral Creations production plateform in 2010, which specialize in designing projects associating author photography and video with research analytical contents. He is also a founding member of Studiofly, a company expert in producing high quality aerial visual content using Drones.

He imagined and conducted the “African Middle Classes” project which explore this 220 millions people populmation associating photography, sound, research work and using multimedia diffusion modes: press, exhibition, book, magazine. The most important body of work on this issue worldwide.

He works regularly in assignment for press publications in France and the world such as Géo Magazine, Le Monde, Stern, Marie Claire, l’Espresso as well as for Corporate companies, Institutions or NGO.
